In November 1999 Leo Burnett Advertising has contracted DRAMATRIX to conduct a Presentation Skills training for 3 groups of staff (2.5 days per group).
The groups were consisting of fairly experienced advertising professionals who in daily work have to meet with our clients to recommend communication programs and advertising ideas, both from creative and client service department.
As Management Partner, partly responsible for personnel development, have witnessed all final presentations personally. I was very pleased with the improvements I have noticed, e.g.:
* more contact with audience
* keeping attention of listeners
* better structure
Leo Burnett is convinced that training presentation skills in small similar groups is more effective than more classical methods. As it allows for more personal attention and more exercises. The fact that the trainers focus on know-how (and not know-what: advertising) delivers very useful modules in effective, i.e. engaging body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" and voice control.
It was 100% worth it.
